Concept

LUZE is a café located in Xalapa, Veracruz—a city known for its rich coffee culture. The space is set within a house over 100 years old, featuring traditional architecture that adds character and history to the experience. It blends a contemporary, artistic atmosphere with a curated mix of vintage and modern elements, showcasing work from local artists. The goal was to develop a visual identity that reflects this creative, eclectic environment while connecting with a young, culturally engaged audience.

Solution

The brand identity was developed to capture the warmth and character of the space through a cohesive system of logo, color palette, typography, and illustrations. The visual language combines organic shapes and handcrafted details to reflect both tradition and contemporary design. Custom illustrations were created as part of the visual system and later translated into large-scale ceramic tile murals by a fine artist, becoming a central feature of the café’s terrace. These elements extend the brand beyond print and digital into the physical environment, reinforcing the café’s identity as a space where art, culture, and community intersect. The menu design and supporting visuals were carefully crafted to maintain consistency across all touchpoints, creating an immersive and memorable brand experience.
